Equal split
Each expense is divided by the number of participants. If Sam paid $90 dinner for three people, each person's share is $30; Alex and Jordan owe Sam $30 each.
Custom split
Some costs are not equal—e.g. a boat tour where one person skipped. Use custom shares that sum to 1.0.
